Any recommendations for the Cushing/Friendship area of Maine?

I know that there are plenty of good restaurants near or along the coast to the east (St. George Peninsula, Thomaston, Rockland, Camden) and in the other direction to the southwest (Damariscotta, Newcastle, Pemaquid Peninsula, Wiscasset).

But are there any notable restaurants, seafood shacks, bakeries, cafes, ice cream parlors, or roadside stands on the quiet peninsula where Cushing and Friendship are located? I've been looking into this and can't really find anything online.

I did read on another thread that Amy Upham (who apparently makes great pies) is based in Cushing and sells her baked goods at Thomaston Grocery in Thomaston, but it doesn't appear that she actually has a storefront take-out operation in Cushing itself.
