Recommendations for casual dinner spot in West LA?

betterbeheaven | Feb 19, 201508:05 PM     12

I'm looking for a place to have a catch up dinner with four friends from high school. I grew up in LA but no longer live here, so I know really nothing about the restaurants!

They're not all big foodies, two are vegetarian. This doesn't have to be an exceptional, destination-type spot; somewhere one might just go if one lived in the neighborhood would do. Want it to be on the cheaper end, say $20 max before tip and tax, and located somewhere between Santa Monica and Century City. Place doesn't need to be nice as long as there is reasonably comfortable seating.

From some preliminary browsing on Chowhound and Yelp, Milo and Olive and Monte Alban both looks like gold contenders though I worry about the wait at the former (maybe not too bad on a Monday night?)

Thank you!
