I've only had this as part of a sushi omakase at Tanoshi and at Dojo, and it blew me away both times. Is there anywhere in the city I could have a whole dish of anago?
I'm open to try any preparation, not just sushi/sashimi. Preferably on the cheaper and non-dress-code side, but this seems to be so rare (as opposed to unagi / freshwater eel) that I will take what I can get!
If there's somewhere I could buy it as an ingredient and a good recipe that I could make with limited ingredients/equipment (I'm just visiting), that would be great too.
