Recommendation wanted for Father's Day dinner

Egads. Trying to get a post to stay on here is like pulling teeth. It's painful.

My in-laws are going away Father's Day weekend to some folk festival, so we are actually celebrating Father's Day this coming weekend, which is better, in my opinion.. less crowds!

"Dad" and I get to choose the restaurant. I suggested Steakhouse 65, though I've never been there. He's not into steak. I'd like something nice in either southern Middlesex or northern Monmouth counties. (In-laws live in North Brunswick, we live in Morganville). It has to be kid-friendly. My daughter is 2, but pretty well behaved for a 2 year old. We went to Clyde's last year, but they don't have high chairs. It was doable, because she was younger then. (It was a great meal).

Chains are okay, but I'd prefer something better. My wife has plain tastes. I'll try almost anything once. Please, no Italian if possible. Well, that kills about half the restaurant choices. :)

I'm actually leaning towards Trinity in Keyport.. or something similar to that (food wise). Does anyone know if Trinity would accommodate a 2 year old? Thanks for any help!
