Looking for a recipe from Chocolatier-Dish Pan Cookies or Buffalo chip cookies

arkiehousewife | Jun 30, 201504:14 PM     2

When I was a girl, I always loved to bake. So I begged my mother to buy me an issue of Chocolatier. I poured over that magazine and decided to make something that I would call a dish pan cookie. They may have been called a buffalo chip cookie. It had oats and candy and made a huge amount. In my mind, I remember them as the best cookies ever. Does anyone have the recipe? It would have been around 1985-1990. I really can't remember the year.
