Hi, have a group of 6-8 guys looking for a good, casual meal with some options for drinking/carousing afterwards (we'll be eating at 9 or shortly thereafter. Currently booked at Le Local (someone else's suggestion) but could always cancel. The menu looks ok, but doesn't do much for me. Have just been doing some last minute research and focusing in on a few names that keep coming up. Honestly, Le Chien Fumant menu is the one that looks the best, but it's a bit out of the way (I'm staying at Sofitel, friends at the Queen E).

So, looking for hip, but good food. Not wanting to blow our brains out on the bill, but don't want to cheap out either. After-dinner options nearby would be good.

I've been to APDC a few times, and it doesn't appeal to me anymore. Think the Chuck Hughes places might be a gamble, with the celebrity chef thing (and also reservation at this stage of the game likely not possible).

Thanks in advance.
