I'm an Echo Park/Silverlaker looking for a recommendation on a West LA/Santa Monica/Venice restaurant for Friday (tomorrow)...
Please help me avoid going to PF Changs!
We're sending off a 20-something back to school after the winter break - ages range from 25-73, and there's 8 of us, or more.
Looking for clean place, reasonable prices, but good service - yes, we want it all!
Older eaters in our group are not very adventurous - they'll want non-spicy options - but the rest of us like everything.
My thoughts turned to VIP Harbor Seafood, for one. A prior trip withthe same group to Versailles rattled some of the older people in our group.
I thought about The Counter - I'd read about it as an upscale build-a-burger place on Ocean Park - but is it really good for a 73 year old granny?
I'm a longtime Chowhound contributor, and would appreciate the help.
