Oh my goodness..... what a find this is! Who would believe that there would be a really amazing Thai restaurant in Las Vegas!!! We go there 2 or 3 times a year to visit friends and spend little time at hotels/casinos, so local restos are something we & our friends are always searching for. But the friends had a previous engagement Sunday night that we didn't feel like attending, so we went to LOS.
Luckily we had thought to make a 7PM reservation, as there were a dozen or more people waiting when we arrived. They were not thrilled when we were whisked past them all to a table, but this bustling place had them seated fairly soon thereafter.
We had a duck soup, with noodles, that was perfectly seasoned and very tasty. Kana Moo Krob was a dish of chinese broccoli, pork and chicken (added)....... just about perfect. Nua Yum Katiem was a rather spicey (made to a 4 on their 1-10 scale) dish of charbroiled beef on cabbage with garlic and a wonderful sauce. A pair of Singha beers accompanied the meal, and we ended with a dish of coconut ice cream, fried banana and sweet rice.
After returning home to the OC we realized that our son's friend had told us his parents frequent a great Asian place since moving to Las Vegas. He couldn't remember the name at the time, but it was the same LOS.
Thanks to all hounds who've posted on this place and helped us find it.
