We attended SF Jazz at Herbst Theater and at the Chowhound recommendation ate at the Bodega Bistro on Larkin Street. Thank You!
We were very early reaching San Francisco, one never knows how long it will take to get there from San Jose, so arrived a few minutes before the kitchen opened, but we were welcomed in to wait until 5 o'clock. Having 3 hours to show time, we sat back and enjoyed: delicious fresh oysters, papaya salad also yummy, fried calamari big and meaty with just a bit too much batter, not memorable shrimp rolls, very memorable squab and tiger prawns, all with a bottle of nice white wine (don't remember name). The bill was close to $100 - worth every penny. Apparently the owner thought so too and treated us to a desssert flan. Thanks for the recommendation.
