On the first morning of my September getaway to the OC, I rolled out of bed a bit late to wander over to Reborn Coffee, the neighborhood’s roaster. Still, I did get dressed, unlike the lady in the cute cherry-themed PJs.

My flat white, $4, was well-made, light and mild mannered. I also enjoyed my window perch observing the Corona del Mar denizens.

Reborn has stayed open for take-out during the pandemic and has outdoor seating.
