My husband and I were uninspired last night by our same ole, same ole and decided to return to Rebeccas for the first time in ymany ears. I don't know if we were able to get a table on short notice because it's August, or because business has fallen off there? Nonetheless, we were glad to return.
The service was outstanding (as always) and the food was very, very good. It wasn't quite great, though some dishes were. The black truffle (Australian) risotto was outstanding, my tuna was very good (a little too charred for my taste), my husband's lamb was sublime. The wine list provided some wows, as did a few of the petit fours with dessert.
While it remains pricey, a great dinner in a lovely setting is always worth it to us.
