We have a visitor coming in from Osaka Japan. They have some super good restaraunts over there, so i'm in for a challenge.
He only has a day or two in the Boston area, and another day in central MA are where we live. Getting around isn't a problem.
Osaka however does seem to lack a quantity of Middle Eastern and even Spanish/Brazilian/Portuguese cuisine.
My wife came across Ararat in Watertown, and Sable in Newton(?) for Middle Eastern, and something along the lines of Frederique? in Cambridge for Spanish. I'm not sure if I got that last name right.
We're just looking for a place where the food is traditional and darn good. We could care less about the decor.
I'm even open for other suggestions if you think of anything. He'll be doing the seafood thing the night before at the Union Oyster House. So have that covered.
