"Real" Belgian waffles in Bay Area?

EuroGuy | Jul 10, 200501:03 AM

Does anyone know if the "Liege waffle" (aka "gaufre de Liege") can be found anywhere in the Bay Area?

Those are the ones sold everywhere in Belgium, mainly at small street-side stands. Nothing at all like the American version of "Belgian waffles"...while those are big, crispy, and covered in fruit and cream, the ones I'm talking about are small but thick and dense, soft on the outside with a crispy layer of sugar in the middle, served warm, and QUITE good.
