Ray's the Steaks - another great meal

BF and I went to Ray's about 10 pm on Saturday night and had another wonderful meal. All but two tables were taken.

I had a 6 oz. filet mignon with aged blue cheese sauce - the sauce and the meat were great. BF had NY strip with a brandy mushroom cream sauce that was also excellent - I usually don't like cream sauces but this one was light and I tasted more mushroom stock than overwhelming cream. Reasonably priced glasses ($6) of Penfold's cab/shiraz blend went well with our meal. And the mashed potatoes are awesome.

Love the bread too - rosemary foccacia, I believe.

Talked to the owner for a while afterwards - very nice guy. He recommends the Steak Diablo for our next visit. So glad to see a neighborhood gem do well.
