From today's column by the venerable and admirable Sylvia Carter, in Newsday:
""Less than a year ago, this newspaper considered the subject of raw milk to be such a fringe topic that it took all my powers of persuasion to be allowed to mention it in the paper.""
She goes on to say that the attitudes have changed by now, but this sentence made me jump.
No wonder American palates are often so dumbed-down, if even the editors of a major newspaper can be so ignorant about food.
