Long time reader, first time poster. I know many similar questions have been ask, but it's tough to piece together the answers with my specific situation:
Nice leg of lamb, very well wrapped and air-tight sealed, frozen for a long time. Left and forgotten on the counter for about 12 hours, at about 68 degrees in the room. Maybe slightly cool to the touch when i found it, but not much. Guests coming for dinner.
Is this a lost cause? I sure hate throwing things out, and i tend towards eating old things, but this may be too risky. Help?
