I bought some raw green peanuts in the shell the other day in Chinatown. I thought I was getting ripe raw peanuts like they sell down South, to make up a batch of hot salted boiled peanuts for a party. These were immature and not yet ripe. Is this some type of Asian peanut? Are they supposed to be this way? If so, how do you use them? Any recipes?
By the way, they taste good. Strange and not like peanuts, with a definite green and crispy taste.
