I've done a search through previous postings and I couldn't find anything for raw bars, plenty about the clam cRAWl (which I think I'll have to look into for 2004), but nothing about the best places to get freshly shucked clams and oysters. Can you suggest a place that shucks as you order that is within an hour and a half of Boston? East Coast Grill seems to get plenty of good reviews - but how's their raw bar? And what about the Summer Shack? B&G sounds a bit pricey - isn't there a place to go without paying for the high rent and a hip scene? I would also prefer to avoid throngs of tourists and although I appreciate the history and the quality of the Union Oyster House, fighting for a seat at the raw bar and wading through the toursists is not what I'm looking for this time 'round. Ideas?
