Rasoee Take-out on Robson

vancouverkim | Jun 27, 2011 01:41 PM

Walked by Rasoee today and decided to try some take out. There are some tables inside and the decor is simple but nice. Food was simple however not so nice. I ordered the Tikka Masala wrap, naan on the side and the Rasoee Dip. After returning to the office to eat my lunch, I noticed the dip was not in the bag. Should have checked before leaving!
The naan, which was the same as the wrap, was more like a pita, overall dry with the edges crispy and dry. Wish I had the dip...The rice was not aromatic at all, very plain. Chicken was dry, and there was barely any curry. The vegetables were diced, and had no flavour. They cook it separately and then add to the wrap. Not sure why they offer naan as a side if the wrap is made of the same bread! Alternate is baked fries. Total cost was around $12 for the wrap, naan, dip that I didn't get, and a bottle of water.
I suggest they change their rice, cook the vegetables in the sauce, and add more sauce! It's okay if the wrap is a little messy! Also, use an authentic naan and not a pita. Since this is a franchise, making these changes are probably very difficult...too bad.
