Since it is not a new discovery for the chowhound board, I'll be briefer than usual, but I do feel the need to emphasize what a high quality discovery this Burmese place on 9th street in Chinatown (in Phila) is.
I'd had Burmese food previously in London at Mandalay on Edgware Road, and had gotten hooked (I was living in the neighborhood was fortunate enough to be able to eat there regularly.) The food at Rangoon was every bit as good as at Mandalay.
For those unfamiliar, Burmese food seems to mirror Burma's (or Myanmar's, depending on your politics) geography: adjacent to Thailand, India and China. The food is similarly a melange of the three. Highly worth exploring!
