Folks, I've seen a total glut lately of telling people to "just Google" for their questions. It occurs to me that if people can get it together to find their way to the 'Hound, they probably have a working awareness of Google, Wikipedia, Epicurious, and all the other sites that could point them in any number of random directions. I know that when I post something, I have a specific reason for doing so, and it's because I trust this community for good, sane-minded help. (For the most part - though there will always be those whose goal is to cause dissent.) I want input from people whose ideas I have come to "know" and I want trusted, tried-and-true recipes. I get a much warmer from the sense of community, people who offer to help and seem to care if something comes off right.
As I said, just a thought. I know how to access all the above sites, and I do it from time-to-time.
