Not really a food centered trip, but here is what we hit:
Boulud Sud: Had a very nice dinner with friends. My pasta with goat with the highlight. I eat there again.
Cafe Boulud: Had breakfast there because it was near the museums we wanted to hit that day (Jewish and Whitney). Really just a nice hotel breakfast. Nothing wrong, but nothing particularly interesting. Not the place if you want a creative breakfast.
Bar at Modern: Couldn't get into the main restaurant, but got a reservation here and was more than pleased. Best Gin and tonic I've ever had, and good small plate menu.
Zucker's: Got bagels from breakfast and really liked them. Very tasty, and not overly large like Ess A's (which are great, too).
My wife then got sick, so I went hunting for desserts to bring back to the hotel.
Lady M: Got slices of two of their cakes and didn't have more than a bite. Completely bland to my taste.
Maison Kayser (across from Bryant Park): Got 3 kinds of cookies, which were huge, very dense, and excellent. Also got an almond croissant, which was no longer crisp (this was 7:00 in the evening), but delicious. This place was really good.
Ess-A-Bagels: Got these for breakfast the next morning. I always like them, although as mentioned above, they are bigger than they need to be.
Flight was then cancelled, so we had to return with my still sick wife.
Pizza Napoli e Vino: Got two pies to go. Not bad, not great. Not a destination pizza place, but better than your average corner pizzeria.
