I didn't get home from work until after 9 last night and needed quick chow. It was one of those rare occasions when the 6 for a dollar ramen noodles were in the house, and so the dinner decision became rather easy.
While the noodles were cooking I scrounge the fridge for snacks/drinks and what do I find? A quart of recently-defrosted home-made chicken soup! (My wife and daughter were just getting over colds.)
So I strain off the noodle water instead of making "soup" with the flavor packet, add a cup or so of the homemade, and warm up.
Sublime cross-ethnic slop! I got much more pleasure with much less guilt than the ramen alone would've provided... This would be great for kids. Of course it helps to have home-made soup in your freezer...
