Ramekin Sizes?

arielleeve | Jul 26, 201008:41 PM     2

I recently went to Sur La Table in search of 6 oz ramekins to make individual peach cobblers. I was planning on making them the night I bought the ramekins, so was disappointed that they were all out when I got there. They did have two 7 oz ramekins left, and since I needed them for that night and didn't want to go to another store, I bought them. Now I am seeing that almost all recipes that utilize small ramekins call for the 6 oz ones. I was going to go back to Sur La Table and get two more 7 oz ones, but should I scratch that plan and just try to get a set of the 6 oz? Do people out there think that the 1 oz difference will make a difference in recipes, or am I just being paranoid / perfectionist? I'll probably mostly be using them for things like individual cakes, cobblers and desserts. Any input would be appreciated.
