Raleigh Late Night Dining

Guilty Gourmand | Dec 29, 201601:46 PM

I work in downtown Raleigh and occasionally end up having to work through dinner until 10 or 11 some weeknights and find myself looking for a place to grab a good restaurant meal solo (sitting at the bar, etc.). I have discovered a pretty good rotation of places that allow me to escape fast food but still have a nice solo dinner without necessarily having to confront a huge bar scene, etc. but am interested in new suggestions or discoveries for 2017.

A few of the places I've relied on in the past:

Raleigh Times--solid food and serving food very late; depending on the night and time the bar scene can be manageable.

Poole's--serving food until 12 nightly and a great place to go for a more expensive dinner if I deserve an award; again, by the time I'm usually there on a weeknight the bar scene is ok

Brixx Pizza--They have a bogo pizza deal after 10 on weeknights (after 11 on weekends) that I think is great plus nightly drink specials; I usually get two pizzas, eat half of each and then take the rest home for another meal

Cheesecake Facotry / PF Changs at Crabtree--While very chainy i know, I usually find Cheesecake Factory to do a good job and they serve until 11; I can get nice bread, and half sandwich and salad or soup and it is a good deal. Chang's has been more hit or miss food and service wise but still an option.

Lynnwood Grill--I think they typically serve until 1:00 and have a good bar menu; again depending on the night and time the bar scene is not usually too "bad" and food solid enough

What am I missing? Candidates need to serve full range of food until 11:00 at least but later times are preferable. Glad for suggestions around the Triangle too.

Thanks

The Raleigh Times,
Poole's,
Brixx Wood Fired Pizza - Brier Creek,
Kanki,
Lynnwood Grill & Brewing Concern,
The Cheesecake Factory,
P.F. Chang's
