There used to be a restaurant in Pasadena back in the 50's and 60's called Beadle's, which sadly has closed. I used to love a Coconut Custard pie that had like a toasted coconut macaroon top. It was so good, and try as I might, I cannot find the recipe or figure out how to make that macaroon topping. They also sometimes had a raisin pie, which was also very good and I cannot find a recipe for. Can anyone help, please?
