Raised waffles recipe in CI

Has anyone tried the recipe for yeast-raised waffles in the most recent Cooks Illustrated? I'm intrigued by it, particularly the idea of letting the batter ferment overnight in the refrigerator.

I've always had great results with the recipe for yeast waffles in Mark Bittman's "How to Cook Everything." These waffles are in another league from the typical baking soda waffles--they are crisper, lighter (lighter tasting, at least), and the yeast gives the flavor a nice complexity.
