My daughter and a friend want to make doughnuts as a foodie project this weekend. I was thinking of the recipe for basic glazed doughnuts in the King Arthur Flour cookbook. But the three of us will never eat a whole batch, and I don't think homemade doughnuts keep well. Can I freeze part of the dough? Should I freeze it after the first rise? Or the second? Or should I try to make half the recipe, which would involve splitting an egg?
