Rainbow Pizza

I was in the Crystal Springs area of San Mateo last week and stopped into Rainbow Pizza. This place was like the Parthenon of Greek food. The menu was so huge I didn't even have time to look at all of it, as I was passing through for a quick lunch. I had the Avgolemono Soup and a Gyro. I know that is the typical un-exciting choice, but what can I say I love a good gyro! The Avgolemono was OK. As far as restaurant Avgolemono goes it all seems to be the same. I guess cornstarch is a lot more stable of a thickner that egg yolks. It was acceptable. The Gyro however was killer! The meat was great, not to salty. The produce was fresh the pita was warmend and not to greasy like the fast food variety, and the tsaziki was excellent! I asked for a second one to dunk the sandwich in. It was obviously fresh, and very delicious. Kudos to Rainbow Pizza. Has anyone had other items there? I would love to know about the pizza, which looked great as it went whizzing by my table.
