At the risk of sounding like "Grumpy Old Man" (SNL) but when I was a kid, chicken wings were almost free as was beef brisket . These days, you pay actual money for these products. I'm waiting for the day when some ingenious chef/cook finds the magic recipe for tripe or rooster nuts (Seefoo).
Can you Hounders think of any other such foods? Or, foods that were spendy, but now, not as much.
