Radical angle on Arthur Avenue -- how about a place that actually TAKES reservations?

Yes, I know: very bourgeois. And, yes, I've read the boards, so I know the place to go is Roberto's (more or less). But what's the best place where you DON'T have to wait on line, because they deign to take reservations?

And not to muddy the waters, but any other nice places in the north Bronx that would be a worthy mid-way point between Brooklyn and Westchester to meet the in-laws for dinner? Something good but not too fancy? Madison's in Riverdale? Others?

Thanks!
