LAist.com reports on the uber-annoying, chirpiest food network hostess Rachel Ray's current visit to LaLaland, and it outlines her picks for eateries this time around. I think it's finally the proof I've been looking for that this fruit is a hack:
"If there were an award for being the hippest city in the country, L.A. would vie for it. Rachael goes to Sushi Katsu-ya for a taste of L.A.s famous sushi scene. Then, she gets a taste of her hometown at Mulberry Street Pizzeria. And for some Pan-Asian cuisine, Rachael has Black Cod at Beacon."
I'll give her Katsu-ya. But pizza? In LA? You come to LA and eat PIZZA? Alas, no. Mulberry is OK. Just OK. There are bazillions of better eateries to hit on a short visit. Especially when you're claiming to be a food expert. Puhleeze.
And I think we all know the award Beacon is winning on this here board . . .
