I had thought I would make the classic French rabbit with mustard sauce and was reaching for the box but pulled my hand away quickly,as though I had been burned. The stuff is going for $9.99/lb. That would have been just enough rabbit to serve 2 people at over $30.00, there is really not much meat on them. My DH used to hunt rabbits 30+ years ago but I decided back then that I did not care for wild rabbit so sending him hunting is not going to happen.
Why is it so expensive?
