Quintessential SF eats?

Andrew C | Jun 8, 2005 09:19 PM

So, I'm headed from New York to San Francisco this Friday for the Alcatraz triathlon, and I've got some plans so far. But I was hoping you chowhounds could give me some more ideas though.

I’ll be in your beautiful city until Wednesday.

Any input on what to eat at the places I've got reservations, and any suggestions on where else I should chow down? Quintessential experiences?

This was helpful, but I want more!

Here's my sked:
Friday - Andalu for dinner
Saturday – Brunch at Slanted Door, Dinner at Scoma’s
Sunday – (competition day) I think I can justify gorging on Sf-style burritos. suggestions?
Monday – open, maybe Dotties for breakfast? I liked Swan's. Maybe lunch.
Tuesday – Dinner at Chez Panisse
Wednesday – lunch only alas, I have a 9:00 pm flight.

Thanks!
