Quiet, good, not expensive restaurant in DC

Ted Fischer | Apr 21, 2003 10:11 AM

I am going out to dinner this Saturday evening with some friends in DC. I really dislike loud cacophonic restaurants where it is hard to hear anything -- (including the person sitting next to me). Thus I would like to go to a somewhat quiet restaurant.

At the same time, I do not want to spend too much -- at most $30 for the meal excluding drinks (preferably less). Also, I do like good food!

I know I may be asking the impossible. But if any one can recommend a place in DC (preferably near Dupont but anywhere near a Metro station is good), I would appreciate it!

P.S. I have been to Iron Gate and want to try somewhere else.
