Quiet dining - a question

dickson d | Nov 5, 2003 06:09 PM

I need some recommendations for quiet dining. As posters may know, I have occasion to dine out with my 96, soon to be 97 year old aunt. She is a great companion and gets around pretty well, but loud places are increasingly a challenge. We've done Margot, La Scarola, and Zoom Kitchen all recently based on board recs, and each was a problem (Zoom was best). Chilpancingo, on the other hand, was bliss. Now, here comes her birthday, and I have some ideas of places to try, but I have promised not to pick another noisy one.

Location: downtown (she lives on state, just north of division).

Food: most anything, but she is not fond of real spicy stuff.

Decor: decent, not too down market

Noise level: must be low

Price: Mid-level

What should I consider? In thinking about it, I suspect Yoshi's might be a very good choice, but what else might work?

thanks in advance,
