quick thoughts: machu picchu (newburgh), roudigan's (kingston)

machu picchu - peruvian food in newburgh. had the ceviches with shrimp - about 12 shrimp in there, very flavorful...and a chicken stew orange in color, which had almost no flavor - even though she asked me if i wanted spices, and i said hot but not burning.

i'd go back.

roudigan's in kingston - wanted steak, their website said aged 28 days, voted best in ulster county. the website looks like a higher end bennigan's and they're part of a quality inn, but i went anyhow based on the "aged 28 days".

should have gone with the visual.

if you told me the steak wasn't aged at all, i'd believe you. it was very similar to gentleman jim's (a place in poughkeepsie) - in other words, not someplace to drive out of your way for. good for local, not for travel.
