Quick 'n Tasty Meals near UCLA -- Help, Please!

DanaB | Oct 19, 200506:52 PM

Hi all,

I'm taking some evening classes at UCLA this fall and have quickly tired of the food offerings at the Ackerman Student Union and LuValle Commons. I'm looking for some suggestions for meals at or around UCLA. Here are the perimeters:

(1) it must be quick -- after work I usually have around 45 minutes to get to campus and eat . . . so, it would have to be something I could grab in, say, 30 minutes or less.

(2) There must be easy parking (I know this rules out many places in the Village, but I just don't have the time/patience/money to search for parking in the Village within the time constraints that I've got);

and (3) I'd prefer not "fast food" -- I've already hit up the In 'n Out in Westwood, and while it's good, it's not something I want to eat twice a week for dinner. I'm open to any kind of food, so long as it's tasty!

I come from the Century City area, so places on Olympic and Santa Monica not too far off Westwood could work. As I drive up Westwood I've observed a number of Persian restaurants -- are any of these the kind of place where I could walk in and grab something to go? How is the parking at Ambala Dhaba, and is it open before 6?

Thanks for any suggestions you can make!
