Could use some quick help...Italian dining near Wharf/Pier 39 that works for disabled?

Have friends visiting who are staying near the Wharf. Looks like we might not be able to meet up on the Peninsula today, where we had plans to eat out w/my elderly mom...82. (she uses a walker due to surgeries)

If we need to go into the City for dinner instead, another night this week...any recommendations for an Italian place or place w/broad appeal that wouldn't be too hard to navigate into for my mother?

Our visitors have their kids with them (17 & 12) & they have pretty narrow likes...hotdogs, hamburgers & Italian. So...we need to stick to something like that. Otherwise, I think Neptune's or Greens have lovely views. (but both are a bit 'steep' too, I suppose, if the kids aren't going to eat much anyway)

The restaurant doesn't have to be near the wharf. If you can think of a place that works well for our situation near Union Square perhaps...that might also work? (we know that area pretty well to navigate into & out of w/my Mom)

Pier 39 has the negative of being SO far to walk into for meals. Would be best if I could simply drop my Mom off. Hmmm....
What to do?? This is a tough one for us!
Thanks so much for any & all ideas!! :-)
