Quick and festive BD cake to travel for nonagenarian

laredo | Nov 20, 201405:27 PM     14

My family will meet at a restaurant several hours from my home to celebrate my mother's 90th birthday.

I am totally blank on an idea for a pretty, festive, and appropriate cake that can travel and be taken into a restaurant.\

There will be just six or seven of us. Something on a smaller scale would be best.

This has to be easy. I will have to make it Saturday and have a long list of other things I must do that day. I don't object to a doctored mix.

Can't use nuts or strawberries or intense chocolate.

Thanks for your help.
