Quick, where would you eat tonight? (bet. Los Feliz and downtown)

Patty | Feb 25, 200308:17 PM     10

Imagine this. You don't get off work until 7 tonight. You are hungry. You are not rich enough to go to the Water Grill. You would prefer table service although you are fond of Zankou Chicken. It's Tuesday, so Madame Matisse is closed. Il Capriccio just got a vermin citation from the health department, although I'll probably return anyway -- it's just a little too fresh in my mind right now.
So, boundaries are approx. Western to downtown, Pico to Franklin.
You don't want to spend more than about $40 for two, including a beer or so.
Where would YOU eat tonight, and what would you order?
