Tried the brisket @ JDs in Canton at the recommendation of a friend from Texas. She was right. Very good (especially since I've had 20 years of mediocrity in NYC).
Checked out the Shaking Duck Butt Korean restaurant (Ritchie Hwy in Glen Burnie) the other night. Mediocre I think (I'm Korean by the way). The galbi was overly sweet and cooked in the kitchen. The banchan dishes(side dishes) were respectable. But I've got to say, they gave me a Korean kimchee pancake as an appetizer for free that was the best I've ever tasted.
Went drinking then headed to the Sip & Bite on Boston St. the other week. Solid diner food at great prices. It was my third time there. I got bold and tried the lamb chops and they were terrific (a tad salty--but what's a little salt amongst Chowhounds). Their spinach side dish was out of this world as well.
Can't wait for it to warm up so that I can get my Pit Beef and Sausage at the JFX farmer's market on Sundays.
