I am planning a surprise 30th party and was interested in having it a Soul Folks. I originally planned to do it at Memphis Hollywood, but the reviews were so bad that it didn't seem worth. Plus it may have been a bit to trendy for the birthday boy. Soul Folks on the other hand sounds kind of bohemian, which is probably better suited to the crowd that will be at this party ( they just love incense!!!*cough, cough*) When I called they said that they aren't open for dinner but, that they host large parties. If we cant get in is it worth switching the party to their sunday brunch? What ever you all can tell me about the place would be so appreciated(i.e. price, ambiance, service, food etc.) Thanks for saving my surprise party Chowhounds!
