1. Green Village. Having the chopped salad at Juon Yuan makes me realize how satisfying it is to have a non-heavy dish with your Shanghai meal. Any ideas of ones to have at GV? I love every individual thing I've had there; but it all is brown and dense, and just one or two non-brown non-heavy dishes on the table would make me much happier. Suggestions?
2. Chung King. Going again this week. Realize, though - I've gotten stuck. There are such a number of dishes there that are so good that I *must* order them every time, and it's gotten to the point where there's no room to try anything new. (These are: cold gingered tendon, seaweed salad with little fishies, those flavored peanuts, dan dan noodles, the beef tofu fire-from-hell pot, fish slices in beautiful hot sauce, dry-fried string beans.) This time, I will try to order all new things. (Except maybe the string beans. I think my beloved would kill me if we went there and those string beans were not ordered.)
So: any suggestions? I'm goin' for all new here.
