A question on Thai cooking(substitution of ingredient)...

am making Mango chicken for dinner NOW and oops, i bought red curry paste instead of thai chili paste. The recipe I have calls for 2 Tablespoons of chili paste. Would an equal amount of curry paste be good or do I need to rush to the store dragging two reluctant kids...
