I was in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico about 7 years ago, and I ate at La Bombonera for breakfast. Along with delicious fresh squeezed orange juice, I ate a kind of breakfast pastry which was similar to a donut, but pressed on the sandwich presser, and topped w/ powdered sugar...
I have a friend who is going to be in Puerto Rico all this summer, and I told him to go to this restaurant, but I was wondering if anyone knows the name of the pastry I am talking about.....also, is there anywhere in the United States (particularly NY or Boston) where I can get these? (unfortunately, I won't be able to visit my friend in San Juan)
