I didn't cook much when I had to have a food safety course when I worked in a restaurant (50% off for FOH staff will do that). All I remember about that is the very firm confirmation that you should never use the same utensils on raw food that you use on cooked food. How does this relate to BBQing? I see videos using the same utensils while grilling but I'm reminded about my food safety courses?
I also started watching shows on cooking. With people like Gordon Ramsay screaming about tasting food all the time. Do these people taste raw meats and stuff despite the fact that they could get diseases or do they just chomp on it, spit it out and brush their teeth heavily?
So I guess what I'm asking is that when you're actively BBQing (yea it's cold but it's still good) at what point are you suppose to switch up the utensils? Raw food utensils shouldn't touch cooked food utensils and I don't get the taste everything mentality when your food is raw and might give you a disease.
