Question for the "displaced Spaniard" re: Andalucia restaurant

RST | Dec 8, 2003 10:11 PM

The thread is so far back that I thought that it would be better to start a new one:

Mr. Displaced Spaniard,
Do you know anything about the new tapas restaurant that just opened (less than a month ago) on Montrose? It's located about a block west of the brown line station (north side of street). The decor is casual/up-market and there seems to be a full bar. The menu looks interesting. The place seems to have sprouted out of nowhere. Anyone here knows where the owner/chef has worked before?

There is another new casual/upmarket restaurant that opened recently on Fullerton about 3 blocks east of California (north side of Fullerton). It's pan-Caribbean/Nuevo Latino (but chiefly PR + Jamaican). I skimmed through the menu on the front quickly but the listing didn't seem particluarly compelling except for an "homage to my dad" that the chef/owner included on the menu cover. Any more information on these?
