Question re Bukhara in Huntington Beach

bearbox | Dec 9, 2003 11:43 AM

Last night I had dinner at Bukhara on Edinger in Huntington Beach. While the food was fine, our waitress was so completely hostile toward us, it was hard to enjoy the food. The odd thing is, we had tried the restaurant about a year ago & enjoyed the food, but our waitress on that occasion (who I believe is the same one we had last night) was very unhappy about serving us, but I chalked it up to a bad night. After I’d seen recommendations for Bukhara on this site, I decided to give it another try. When our waitress wasn’t scowling at us from across the room, she was slamming our food down and she literally threw the check at us. She was perfectly cheerful to the other table present so I found it more than odd that she treated us with barely veiled disgust. We were perfectly compliant, agreeable customers- so I am very curious why we were treated so poorly. While I don’t think we would return after such bad treatment (twice) I am curious to know if anyone else has had a similar experience there.
Thanks for any insight.
