Finally made it here based on Steve Siegel's recommendation. One word. Great! True Hole-in-the-wall Mom and Pop with Mom in the kitchen (I don't know about Pop, but Son at least is there so it's a family deal). Being alone I went for the combination order which was supposed to have four things but actually had at least seven. She uses a lot of ginger and cardamon, plus garlic and jalapeno, and of course butter. Braised lamb, beef chunks, chopped beef, collards, cabbage, all spectacular. Some tripe on the side (which I like anyway) which was nowhere on the menu. Lots of injera.
As Tyler Cowan might say, go go go.
This is a definite chow lunch candidate. I will check with Steve so he and/or I can set one up ASAP.
